Walleye Fishing Lodges & Camps on Wabigoon Lake
Indian Point Camp is located at the south-west corner of Wabigoon Lake. Wabigoon Lake is one of the most enjoyable Walleye lakes to fish because it is not a deep lake. It's not one of those lakes where the Walleyes take off into deep water by July and are much harder to catch. The Walleyes stay shallow all year, which makes it an easy lake to fish. The lake still exhibits prime Walleye habitat with rocky points, shoals, rocky ridges and shallow weed-lines that that slide into that 10 to 15-foot range, which is where the walleyes like to hide during the day. Not only will you catch lots of Walleyes, your chance at a trophy is very possible with many Walleyes in the 7 to 10-pound range being caught and released all summer. Wabigoon is a big lake and is famous for its gigantic fish. Indian Point Camp has cozy housekeeping cottages with fully equipped kitchens. The camp also has a weekly complementary buffett featuring delicious home-cooking. Fishing for Muskie, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Perch and Crappie is also excellent.
